Success is no Mystery to Tyler Schilling

A wee bit worn – Scott and his fellow tech-serfs attend Thursday night to hear some sage, heartily earned and generously shared wisdom from Tyler Shchilling.

The undersea robotics co-founder explained what perseverance and focus can accomplish when given unconditional love and a little emergency money from mom.
He answered questions asking for advice for young and new entrepreneurs/workers.

His key answer was “choose easy work hard.”  To paraphrase his further explanation. What you choose to do should feel right and easy for you – likely that’s because you have a unique aptitude for it. And he meant the next not as rebelliousness, but more as encouragement – if not as a necessity – in trusting in your gut.

You can’t expect your parents or teachers or placement counselors to make the right choice about what you do.  You know what feels right and you just need to be honest with yourself and know not everything is going to be rosy.  The probability is, that while what you fit might seem easy for you, likely it’s not easy for someone other than you.

Find what is easy for you and then work hard at it – to be the very best at it.
He felt this was the best career advice along with persistence.
