Chevy Bolt All Electric $30,000 248 Mile Range

Chevrolet has begun rolling out the vehicle for sale that should reduce range anxiety among buyers with its 248-mile range and $30,000 price after a federal incentive.

It’s the car that is the next generation after the hybrid Prius and should soon become as ubiquitous.  Not built for the soccer mom/Mr. mom van pool, but excellent for the individual commuter.    For Stone’s Throw Strategies client wo it will be the perfect car to make the trek from Sacramento to the Bay Area and Back without a need for a charge.

Car and Driver’s Chevy Bolt review is mostly complementary, but the author can’t help himself from chiding the electric vehicle activists for casting GE as the EV1 killer – in the 1990’s.   I say this – GE was not the only one whose policies have been ass-backwards – their corporate ethos and those of their shareholders are not clean as the pure-driven-snow that no longer falls below 5,000 feet in the Sierras in February.

Check out the Chevy Bolt and tell me what you think.
