Help Nida Allam TODAY!

Tuesday’s North Carolina 4th District Congressional March 3rd is the most important race of 2026 for progressive voters. Nida Allam, a Durham County Commissioner, is the progressive Democrat challenger, and Valerie Foushee is the conservative Democrat who beat Allam in 2024 using $2 million in AIPAC dollars to do it.
The Fourth Congressional District has become a flashpoint for corporate influence in American politics. Valerie Foushee now co-chairs Hakeem Jeffries’ newly formed House Democratic Commission on AI and the Innovation Economy. Jeffries created the Commission for the specific purpose of being able to provide conservative Democrats, like Foushee, immediate access to AI dollars.
Nida Allam has outcampaigned Foushee. In the final 11 days of the race, Foushee received a massive boost of over $2.2 million in outside spending. Much of this funding flows from shadowy PACs, including one called “Article One Inc. PAC.” Article One Inc. received its money from Hawken Jeffries Victory Fund PAC, which in turn receives much of its money from AIPAC (AIPAC receiving most of its money from Republican large donors). This is the system designed to ensure that even in “safe” Democratic districts, the candidates who emerge are those most aligned with establishment donor agendas.
Despite this deluge of cash, Nida Allam’s campaign represents a stark alternative. She is backed by a robust progressive coalition—including Justice Democrats, the Working Families Party, Sunrise Movement, Leaders We Deserve, and others—who are organizing to reclaim the district. These groups recently joined a “Citizens’ Open Letter” calling for candidates to refuse AI-linked corporate money, arguing that democracy cannot be auctioned to the highest bidder.
The coalition supporting Allam aims to break the stranglehold of big-money politics. For those who believe that the future of the planet and human dignity must be protected from tech-industry capture, the outcome of this primary will be a defining moment in 2026.
